What is Portable Jib Crane

Portable jib crane, also named mobile jib crane, is a special freestanding jib crane which can move with wheels. Its structure is similar with freestanding mounted jib crane, it can be equipped with hoist (electric wire rope hoist, electric chain hoist, chain block with trolley) to finish lifting tasks in workshops, warehouses and factories.

For mobile jib crane, the pillar/column is mounted on the base which has wheels, not be mounted on the ground. The hoist travels along the boom and lifts materials up and down. The rotation of the boom can be 180° to 360°, that's easy to move materials in working area.

Precautions for the Use of Mobile Jib Cranes

• The operator should strictly abide by the equipment operating procedures, master the performance of lifting equipment, is strictly prohibited overload.
• The swing crane must follow the basic principle of "running without lifting, lifting and not running".
• It is not permissible to use the terminal baffle as a normal stop method.
• Four support devices supported on the ground must be opened before lifting to ensure safety
• Avoid the electric hoist for a number of jog operation.
• The chain and wire rope of the hoist must have sufficient strength, solid and reliable, 
• Lifting and moving of heavy objects should be carried out in the vertical case, prohibit the cable lift, nor allow the lifting frame to drag or impact.
• When lifting failure occurred in the event of an accident, operator should immediately cut off the power.
• When lifting heavy objects, the lower end of the crane is forbidden by pedestrians and pedestrians.
• When resting, heavy objects should not be suspended, and the power should be turned off in time.

Maintenance of Mobile Jib Cranes

• Every six months, the rotating parts need to be lubricated.
• According to the usage, the deposits on the rotating part of the beam (travel track surface) should be cleaned regularly.
• For outdoor use, the paint should be sprayed once a year; when used indoors, it should be sprayed every two years.
